I heard an interesting story the other day. Back in 2018 Trump sat down with Trudeau and told him that the USA will come after the most significant part of the Canadian economy in the trade deal they were negotiating to replace NAFTA. Trudeau said right away don't go after the automobile industry. So Trump went straight at the auto industry and got concessions from Canada on way more than they expected in other areas. In the end - after all of the negotiations were done and the deal completed- Trump said ' don't ever tell your opponent your weakness, it gives them too much strength in negotiations !'
I can't wait for a strong leader in Canada again. It has been 9 years absence.
